Reflective Together provides training, education and coaching shaped by lived experience.
Co-produced and co-delivered by autistic and learning-disabled trainers, since February 2024 we have worked with a wide range of groups and sectors who value authentic learning, which encourages reflection and is grounded in real perspectives.
Everything we do is built on one simple principle: meaningful change does not come from tick-box training. It comes from dialogue, learning – and reflecting – together.
Our Approach
Founder, Dr Nathan Green is a Senior Lecturer in Learning Disabilities and Autism and has been an educator for over twenty years, including as a Deputy Headteacher in a specialist provision supporting young people with a variety of difference, including Autism, ADHD, Mental Health, among other needs. More recently delivering teaching to pre-registration nursing and midwifery students, and other health care professions, on how to work and support people with challenges and bridge the gap in health inequalities. A key aspect of this role was to implement the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training into the curriculum, and since summer 2023 has been a Lead Trainer working with a variety of organisations including Universities, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, and other service providers. He is Reflective Together’s approved Oliver McGowan Lead Trainer and our sessions meet all statutory requirements under the Health and Care Act 2022.
While compliance is, of course, essential, our focus is always on value and outcomes. So, every workshop we deliver is tailored to the group, ensuring training is relevant, engaging and meaningful for everyone in the room.
Lived experience at the heart of delivery
Our co-trainers with lived experience are central to every session – not as an add-on, but as equal contributors to your learning journey.
By sharing real experiences, our co-trainers spark many honest and valuable discussions. They are able to speak truthfully about what day-to-day life is like for them, as well as sharing the barriers, assumptions and challenges they face every day. Doing this brings a sense of genuine understanding to the room, which naturally translates into practical strategies and lasting change.
